Inspiration is Found in Strange Places......

My favorite commercial during the Daytona 500 this weekend was a Sprint commercial in which a family was trying to call the "real" Jimmie Johnson. I liked its humor and clean colors of gray, yellow and white. So when I put this card together for Stamping411's weekend sketch challenge, I combined Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Going Gray. The birdcage from Happy Moments is embossed in silver. And it was certainly a happy moment for Jamie McMurray when he crossed the finish line just ahead of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Yep I'm a NASCAR fan.........

Linda -- I love the soothing colors and images that you choose for this week's sketch challenge. Great job! Especially love the way to offset the corner punch on the focal image! Thanks for playing along with the Stamping 411 Operators this week! Blessings, Gretchen -- www.gretchenbarron.typepad.com

Darling card :D Love the filigree brad and the bit of silver twine to "hold up" the cage. Great use of that new SU punch too.

What a beauty!!! I love it. I only got to see a bit of the race, you'd think Michaels could of given me that day off. Nope, they always think I should work. *smile* Hugs,

This is one of my favorite color combos . . . I'll have to start watching car races to see the right commercials. Love how you hugged the curves on the card. Hugs, M

Beautiful card Linda! The colors are so soft and elegant. I love the embossed bird cage! It was one of the longest Daytona 500s in recent history, but the ending was well worth it!
