The Red Balloon.....PP283, CTD380

A long time ago my French teacher set up a movie projector in class and showed us a delightful film called The Red Balloon.  It's a simple story with minimal dialogue and color.........except of course for a fabulous red balloon that follows a little boy around wherever he goes.  When I saw the Paper Players Challenge this week and the colors at Color Throwdown my very first thought was that red balloon.  I made a skyline using the Holiday Home framelits and cut out a balloon from red foil paper,  I wish the photo showed how shiny and fabulous that red balloon looks!

Joanne has a fun CAS challenge for us this week at The Paper Players!

I also used the colors from this week's Color Throwdown!

Love that red balloon over the houses. Simply sweet. I have the book The Red Balloon, it must be stills from the movie, because it's the same little boy in the illustrations.

Our son spoke of watching this movie in French class as well. The red balloon pops in the photo and I am sure is more gorgeous in person. Such a wonderful inspiration to share with us.

I remember that film too and you've captured it perfectly in the scene you've created. Clever use of the home framelits and I love how you've given them a drop shadow--wicked clever card, my friend!

Love this card. I'm sure the shiny balloon looks fabulous in person. How creative to use the city skyline and the puffy clouds in the sky to make a "place" for the balloon. The story behind it is intriguing. TFS
